Our Journey of Faith and Service

Tyler and Amanda Zimmerman have always desired to live lives marked by faith, obedience, and a deep love for the local church. Their story begins long before marriage or ministry positions—back when they were both growing up as missionary kids at Cedine Bible Mission. Amanda’s dad served as the Camp Director, while Tyler’s dad was the Outreach Director. Even from a young age, they learned what it meant to love Jesus, serve others, and live on mission.

Amanda went on to graduate from New Tribes Bible Institute and continued her preparation through New Tribes Missionary Training. Tyler graduated from Tennessee Temple University, sensing clearly that God was calling him to a life invested in gospel ministry. That calling only deepened as he later began working toward a Master of Arts in Church Planting at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

After college, Tyler and Amanda married and returned to Cedine Bible Mission, serving together as Head Counselors and Activities Director. In 2017, the Lord moved them to North Carolina, where Tyler became the Associate Pastor of Youth and Children at Eastside Baptist Church. It was during this time that he gained a deep appreciation for the vital role of the local church and how God intends to use it to reach the nations.

In recent years, Tyler and Amanda have been rooted at Gospel Hope Church in Georgia, where they completed a church planting residency. During this season, Tyler served as the Missions and Development Director, helping strengthen the church’s engagement in both local and global outreach. Through these experiences, God refined Tyler’s leadership, deepened his pastoral heart, and renewed his burden for planting healthy, gospel-centered churches.

Throughout every season, Amanda has been a steady source of encouragement, hospitality, and faithful service—both within the church and in their home. Together, she and Tyler have sought to model genuine discipleship for their three children: Zeke, Leo, and Zoe. Their home has become a place where mission, family, and community naturally blend.

Over time, the Zimmermans sensed the Lord stirring their hearts toward cross-cultural ministry. After months of prayer, seeking counsel, and searching the Scriptures, God made His calling unmistakably clear: they were to move to Puerto Rico and join the planting of Table Church. With humility and excitement, they have embraced this next step of obedience.

Tyler will serve as Executive Pastor at Table Church, helping build systems, shepherd people, and support the mission of making disciples throughout the island. The Zimmerman family’s desire is simple but profound—to see lives transformed by the gospel and to help establish a church that brings hope, stability, and spiritual renewal to their community in Puerto Rico.

They step into this new season grateful for every person who prays, encourages, and partners with them in the work of planting a church for the glory of God.
